County of Granville issued the following announcement on Feb. 19.

Granville County Cooperative Extension is offering a free pruning workshop on Saturday, February 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

The program will be led by Granville/Person County Horticulture Agent Johnny Coley and teach attendees how to properly prune and care for various fruiting plants that can be grown in the Piedmont region of North Carolina including apples, pears, figs, blueberries, peaches, and grape vines. 

The class will be held at 450 C.C. Andrews Road Timberlake, NC 27583. 

The course is being offered free of charge, but registration is required.
