Maria Parham Health has announced that Dr. Reshmi Udesh, MD, FACS, has joined its surgical team. Dr. Udesh is a board-certified general surgeon with experience in minimally invasive, robotic, and foregut surgery.
According to Maria Parham Health, Dr. Udesh’s clinical work focuses on advanced surgical methods that can result in smaller incisions and faster recovery for patients. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and holds the Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) distinction.
Dr. Udesh completed her general surgery residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and also trained at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C. She earned her MBBS degree in India.
Before joining Maria Parham Health, Dr. Udesh worked as a general and bariatric surgeon at TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital in Delaware. She also completed a research fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center focusing on vascular surgery and perioperative outcomes, publishing several peer-reviewed articles.
