Maria Parham Health is preparing for its 5th Annual Trunk or Treat event, introducing a walk-through format for the first time since the event began in 2021. The change comes after previous years featured a drive-through setup designed to comply with COVID-19 safety measures.
“With the significant decrease in COVID cases in our area, we felt it was time to bring back that face-to-face community spirit,” said Donna Young, Public Information Officer for Maria Parham Health. “We’re excited to welcome families back in a more interactive and festive setting.”
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Medical Plaza located at 120 Charles Rollins Road in Henderson, North Carolina. Attendees are instructed to park in the gravel lot behind the hospital before walking down to the main venue.
Hospital staff will decorate their vehicles and wear costumes as they hand out candy to children. Community organizations are also invited to participate by decorating their own vehicles and distributing treats. Live music will be performed by local band Man Up, providing entertainment throughout the evening.
Families from across the community are encouraged to attend. Local groups interested in participating can register their vehicle displays ahead of time by contacting Donna Young at donna.young@lpnt.net.
