The renovation of the Emergency Department at Maria Parham Health has officially begun. Construction teams have started work on transforming the emergency care facilities, with demolition commencing as part of this project. The renovation began on March 17, 2025, and aims to enhance services for vulnerable populations in Vance and Franklin counties, particularly focusing on behavioral health care.
This project is funded by a joint initiative involving the Vance County District Attorney’s Office, Granville Vance Public Health, the Vance County Board of Commissioners, and the North Carolina General Assembly. This funding was allocated in October 2023 to improve mental health treatment services in the region.
“We are excited about this important renovation that will better serve the needs of our community,” said Bert Beard, CEO of Maria Parham Health. “The changes will help us provide the highest level of care to those who need it most, and we are grateful for the support of our partners and the local community in making this project a reality.”
Maria Parham Health is committed to keeping the public informed about the progress of this renovation through updates on its official Facebook page and local news outlets. The hospital assures that it will maintain high standards of care throughout this process.
