Maria Parham Health will hold a free Lunch & Learn event focused on Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at noon. The session will include an educational presentation by Dr. Dennis I. Narcisse, who will discuss how to recognize, prevent, and treat PAD.
PAD is a condition that narrows arteries and reduces blood flow to the limbs. It affects millions of Americans and can lead to serious complications such as heart attack, stroke, or limb loss if not treated.
“This event is part of our ongoing commitment to improving community health through education and early intervention,” said Bert Beard, CEO of Maria Parham Health. “Peripheral Artery Disease is a condition that many people don’t realize they have until it’s too late. Our goal is to change that by raising awareness and providing access to expert knowledge that can truly save lives.”
A complimentary lunch will be available for attendees. Registration is required in advance due to limited seating. Community members interested in attending can sign up online at https://www.mariaparham.com/events/2025-09-25/peripheral-artery-disease-lunchlearn.
