On Friday, Feb. 28, former South Granville High School standout Brooke Bowling’s current college team, the Charlotte 49ers, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the USC Upstate Spartans.

The game took place at Terry Field. This was their first matchup against the Upstate Spartans this season.

The 49ers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at Terry Field against Winthrop Eagles.
