Vance-Granville Community College is offering a buy one, get one free for summer courses this year as a way to help students continue working toward their certificates and degrees during the pandemic.

“This is a unique time for our students, their families and our communities at large. Many people are considering their next steps during and after this pandemic. VGCC is here to help and is working to remove barriers for prospective and current students who are seeking a high-quality education,” Rachel Desmarais, president of Vance-Granville Community College, told the Warren Record in late April. “The Buy One, Get One approach is another way to support our communities as they are being financially impacted by COVID-19. We are looking forward to new and current students taking advantage of this special opportunity to better prepare for successful careers in our service area.”

Any eligible student wishing to take advantage of the deal can use it on the college's summer semester, which starts on Tuesday, May 26, according to the Warren Record.

All students are limited to one free three-credit-hour course but must have signed up for another three-credit-hour course to receive the BOGO, according to the Warren Record.
