Granville Vance Public Health issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.
Beginning today, GVPH will be reporting our region’s COVID-19 hospitalization data in addition to our regularly scheduled COVID-19 data post.
Please note that hospitals report to the state by REGION, with our region being the Duke Healthcare Preparedness Coalition. Thus, the data you see below is a reflection of our entire region. However, as cases continue to rise, it is becoming increasingly likely that patients could be seen in other hospitals throughout the region, so we find this wider range of data to be helpful. Please look for our weekly hospitalization post on Fridays.
