Henderson Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 16.
Plan for delays and plan to reroute
CSX Railroad has scheduled the attached list of crossings to be closed for repair. This will necessitate rerouting traffic. Signage will be in place marking detour routes. Please note the expected close dates.
Closing on Friday, Jan 14th at 6:30am; opening on Saturday, Jan 15th by noon
1. NC39-Andrews Ave, Henderson, NC (track is located between N Garnett St and Rowland St)
2. SR1143- St Matthews St, Henderson, NC (track is located near Miriam St and Nicholas St)
Closing on Friday, Jan 21st at 6:30am; opening on Saturday, Jan 22nd by noon
1. SR 1139- J P Taylor Rd, Henderson, NC (track just off of Bus #1)
2. SR 1595- Eastern Minerals, Henderson, NC (track just off of Bus #1 near Eastern Minerals)
