County of Granville issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.
Granville County Senior Services is offering free assistance for county residents participating in Open Enrollment for Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare Prescription Drug (Part D) plans for 2023.
Health needs change from year to year, and the benefits and costs of your health plan may change each year too. That is why it is important to evaluate your Medicare choices on an annual basis. The Open Enrollment Period is the one time of the year when all people with Medicare can review and/or change their Medicare Advantage (Part C) or prescription drug (Part D) plans for 2023. Open enrollment begins October 15 and ends December 7.
Any Granville County resident that would like to review their plan for 2023 is encouraged to call the Granville County Senior Center in Oxford (107 Lanier Street) at 919-693-1930 or the South Granville Senior Center in Creedmoor (114 Douglas Drive) at 919-528-0848 to schedule an appointment.
Appointments will be available at both the Oxford and Creedmoor locations. Senior Services has well-trained SHIIP (Senior Health Insurance Information Program) counselors who can assist residents with changing their plan.
