HENDERSON COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY: The Mammals of Henderson County to be Held October 23

Henderson County Public Library recently issued the following announcement.

The Mammals of Henderson County

There are 56 mammals known or suspected to reside in Henderson County. These range from the Pygmy Shrew at 2 grams to the Black Bear at 880 pounds. Alan Cameron, volunteer with the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and current Board Member of the Friends of DuPont will present the slideshow. This program is presented in conjunction with the Friends of DuPont Forest and information on the organization will be provided.
