City of Creedmoor issued the following announcement on Feb. 21.
Mobile DMV Services at Creedmoor City Hall
The City of Creedmoor is pleased to host NC DMV’s satellite unit at City Hall again in 2020. The next Mobile DMV date in Creedmoor will be Thursday, March 5 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the City Hall Boardroom located at 111 Masonic Street. NC DMV designed satellite locations to offer most of the services found at brick-and-mortar DMV offices with just a fraction of the wait time! Road tests are the only major service NOT offered at Mobile DMV locations.
Services offered at Mobile DMV locations include:
• REAL ID
• Driver’s License (NCDL), Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Motorcycle License
• State ID Card
NC DMV asks customers interested in written tests for NCDL, CDL, and motorcycle arrive by 3:15 p.m., and arrive by 2:00 p.m. for CDL tests to ensure enough time for completion.
REAL ID
Beginning October 1, 2020 you will need more than your standard driver’s license or state issued ID to board a commercial airplane, enter a military base, federal prison, or federal courthouse. While not required, a REAL ID issued by the NC DMV is one of the easiest ways to ensure compliance with new federal laws governing access to these locations.
What to bring to get your REAL ID:
• One document showing proof of identity and birth (birth certificate, passport, driver’s license, etc.)
• One document showing proof of full name and social security number (social security card, W-2, etc.)
• Two documents showing proof of NC residency (vehicle registration, voter card, utility bill, etc.)
• One document showing proof of name change if your current name doesn’t match your birth certificate (certified marriage license or divorce decree from Register of Deeds)
• One document showing proof of legal status if you are a non-US citizen (valid resident card, certificate of naturalization, etc.)
