Granville County recently issued the following announcement.

The following cancellations have been announced

While Granville County has no confirmed cases of Coronavirus as of March 17, precautions are being taken in the best interest of our residents. In compliance with state requirements and in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the following meetings, events and programs have been cancelled, as of March 17, 2019:

March 17:

Veterans Affairs Committee meeting 

Parks, Greenways and Recreation Advisory Committee meeting  

March 19

Cooperative Extension meeting at Expo Center, “Pollination and NC Agriculture” 

Meeting, Granville County’s 275th Anniversary Planning Committee

Granville County Planning Board Meeting 

March 20

Meeting of Granville County’s Opioid Advisory Committee 

March 23

Meeting of Senior Services Advisory Board 

March 24

Granville County Board of Adjustment Meeting 

Social Services Advisory Board meeting  

March 26

Meeting of Granville Tourism Development Board 

Beginning March 27:

The Senior Games, scheduled to kick off on March 27 for Region K

(Granville, Franklin, Person Vance and Warren Counties)  

March 28, March 29

Paws for Granville Fundraiser for Granville County Animal Shelter and

Humane Society of Granville County (to be rescheduled)  

March 31

Monthly meeting, Granville County Crimestoppers 

April 6

Citizens Advisory Committee for Environmental Affairs

April 18

Brides on Wheels (BOWS) Tour – to be rescheduled  

Until further notice:

All library programs and events at all four branches in Oxford, Creedmoor, Stovall and Berea
