Granville County recently issued the following announcement.
Granville County’s State of Emergency Declaration
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with increasing confirmed cases in North Carolina, the Granville County Board of Commissioners has issued a Declaration of a State of Emergency. Signed by Board Chair David T. Smith, this declaration is also in response to the March 10, 2020 Executive Order 116 – issued by Governor Roy Cooper – to coordinate response and to take protective actions regarding the prevention of the spread of Coronavirus in our communities.
At the time of the issuance of this document, Granville County had reported one confirmed case of COVID-19.
The declaration includes all five municipalities of Granville County and went into effect at 4:30 p.m. on March 23.
