City of Creedmoor issued the following announcement on June 26.
Creedmoor Police Department Seeks Suspect in Counterfeit Bill Case
The Creedmoor Police Department is investigating the passing of counterfeit currency. The incident occurred at Food Lion (2151 East Wilton Ave) on Tuesday, June 23, at 10:10a.m.
The suspect in the attached image is described as a young white male, wearing a grey colored shirt and dark colored pants. The suspect passed five counterfeit twenty-dollar-bills (serial# kb22975064e). Security cameras recorded the suspect leaving the scene in a small black four door vehicle (possibly a Kia Soul).
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect in this case is asked to contact Lt. Ricky Cates with Creedmoor Police Department at (919) 528-1515 or call Granville County Crime Stoppers at (919) 693-3100. A reward up to $1,000 is offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects. Callers do not have to give their name or personal information.
