Warren County issued the following announcement on July 8.

County Issues Invitation for Bid on Magnolia Ernest Recreation Park improvements

The Warren County, NC Parks and Recreation Department is seeking proposals for site improvements at the county-owned Magnolia Ernest Recreation Park (located on Soul City Boulevard in Manson, NC). Contractors may bid the whole project or individual project elements.

The IFB contact identified below is the sole point of contact regarding the IFB from the date of issuance until selection of the successful consultant. Please direct all questions to the IFB contact; please include both emails listed below in any email correspondence.

A contractor may bid the entire project or may single out one or more singular project elements. Bidding the entire project is not required. 

If a contractor chooses to bid the entire project, the bid should contain a cost breakdown for each project element. Individual project elements include:

  • Picnic Shelter
  • Tennis Courts Repair and Resurfacing
  • Pump Room Renovations
  • Basketball Courts Removal and Reconstruction
  • Paved Walking Trail
  • Bath House Renovations
Each project element will identify a base bid and any bid alternates. Contractors are asked to provide and label the quotes for the base bid amount and provide and label quotes for bid alternates.

All bids should be sealed and mailed to: Dickie Williams, PO Box 619, Warrenton, NC 27589. Bids should be received by August 10, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
