Calling all Creedmoor students, artists, and inspired community members! The City of Creedmoor invites you to enter the Design-A-Sign Contest to put your creative stamp on the new Creedmoor Community Center. We are seeking creative Creedmoor residents of all ages that want to flex their artistic muscles to design an attractive, original, innovative, and professional sign.
The City of Creedmoor invites all city residents to participate in this first of its kind contest, which will let our community design the monument entrance sign for our Creedmoor Community Center. The contest is open to all city residents, and one lucky participant may win the chance to have their vision brought to life and hold a spot of honor as the welcoming statement for all visitors to the Creedmoor Community Center.
Slated for completion by the end of October 2020, the Creedmoor Community Center will be a crown jewel facility for Granville County. We are creating a transformational community gathering space with a brand new senior center, event space, classrooms, exercise areas, indoor walking track, and full-length basketball court. Once it is safe to open to the public, the Community Center will bustle with activity for citizens and visitors of all ages. The monument entrance sign is the final piece of the construction puzzle, and provides an exciting opportunity for our citizens to weigh in.
All entries must be on an 8½” x 11” sheet of plain unlined paper, and each design must include the words “Creedmoor Community Center.” All individuals entering the contest acknowledge that the City may alter, modify or revise the design as it deems necessary, and the City reserves the right to reject any or all submissions.
The City of Creedmoor Board of Commissioners will select the top three entries to receive the following prizes:
1st Place Winner - $150 Visa Gift Card, plus a one (1) year Creedmoor Community Center gym membership, plus their photo taken with the Mayor of Creedmoor (next to the fully constructed sign), and bragging rights, of course!
2nd Place Winner -- $75 Visa Gift Card
3rd Place Winner – $50 Visa Gift Card
Participants may enter the contest by emailing their entries, hand deliver to Creedmoor City Hall (111 Masonic St.), mail to PO Box 765 Creedmoor, NC 27522 (Attn: Terry Hobgood). All entries must include a name, street address, mailing address, telephone number, and email (if available). Deadline: Monday, October 19.
