Town of Butner recently issued the following announcement.
Vacancy – Butner Town Council
Following the resignation of Council Member Jimmy Gooch who was appointed to the Granville County Board of Commissioners, Mayor and Council are proceeding to fill the unexpired term of Council Member Gooch. The 4-year term expires on December 2, 2021.
Interested applicants should contact Town Clerk Barbara Rote at brote@butnernc.org or 919-575-3109 to receive information and how to apply for the vacancy. The Town Clerk will accept applications with a resume until 12 Noon on Monday, November 23. Applicant must be a registered voter living within Butner corporate limits.
