County Warren issued the following announcement on Jul. 23.
Notice is hereby served that the Warren County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing to hear citizens comments regarding all matters covered by a Preliminary Assessment Resolution adopted on July 13, 2021 to make repairs to roads in the existing Pleasant Hills subdivision, including Rocky Creek Drive, Crescent Lane, Pine Shadow Lane, Cedar Brook Circle, Nutbush Lane, Sandy Creek Lane, and Sandstone Lane.
Pursuant to Article 9A, NCGS§ 153A 210.1-210.7, and Session Law 2015-121, Senate Bill 284, counties are authorized to exercise their assessment authority to expend general funds to finance the capital costs associated with critical infrastructure improvements. The expenditure of County general funds for this project is contingent upon payment of a special assessment by the owners of properties fronting those roads within Pleasant Hills Subdivision that will directly benefit from the proposed improvements.
The public hearing is scheduled for Monday, August 2, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in the Warren County Armory Civic Center Commissioners Meeting Room, 501 US Hwy 158 Bus. E., Warrenton, NC.
