City of Oxford issued the following announcement on Oct. 15.
During this week citizens may bring expired medicine from their medicine cabinets to the Oxford Police Department, 204 East McClanahan St. Oxford NC, to be disposed of. The hours for the medicine drop off will be Monday through Friday 9am until 4:30pm and Saturday from 9am until 1pm. We encourage you to bring all expired medicine however we are unable to except liquid medication or needles during this campaign. Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors and come participate in this event. We look forward to seeing you.
