County of Granville issued the following announcement on Nov. 20.
All non-emergency Granville County facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal hours of operation will resume on Monday, November 29 at most locations.
Branches of the Granville County Library System will close at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24 and will resume normal hours of operation on Monday, November 29. Visit the Granville County Library System website for more information about regular branch hours.
Granville County Trash and Recycling Convenience Sites will be closed on Thursday, November 24 and will resume normal hours of operation on Friday, November 25. Visit the Solid Waste Management page for operating hours.
The Granville County Animal Shelter will be closed November Thursday, 24 and Friday, November 25. Normal hours will resume on Saturday, November 26 when the shelter will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
