City of Creedmoor ssued the following announcement on Dec. 2.
Each year for the past four years, our police department has teamed up with local elementary schools principals and local pastors to identify local youth and their families that could use a helping hand during the Christmas Season.
Funds used for this program are obtained through public donations and tax exempt sources. To make these past five years possible, Chief Keith King has requested all funds received through the department’s annual police calendars be allocated to the program’s budget. Additionally, the city has approved fall funds received through Christmas Parade entries be allocated to the program as well. The police department, with the assistance of City Hall, will seek sponsorships and donations throughout the year and has established a donation link on the city’s website. All program operations will be accomplished through staff and community volunteers. Community donations and support are needed and greatly appreciated!
