County of Granville issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for all of central NC, including Granville County, in effect from 10pm tonight through 7am Friday morning. A period of sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts mostly between 35 to 40 mph is expected, with isolated gusts between 45 to 50 mph possible near and northwest of the I-40/I-85 corridor.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle and secure outdoor objects!
