Town of Stem issued the following announcement on Apr. 6.
Granville County Animal Management has reported a confirmed case of a rabid skunk found in the area of US Highway 15 and Watkins Wilkinson Road in Oxford on Monday, April 4.
Please be sure all animals you own are up to date on their rabies vaccine as required by NCGS 130A-185 (https://www.ncleg.net/.../chapter_130a/gs_130a-185.html).
Rabies vaccines are available at the Granville County Animal Shelter (515 New Commerce Drive, Oxford) for $6 per vaccine, Monday - Friday from 12 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
