CITY OF CREEDMOOR: Walk to School Day

Walking

City of Creedmoor issued the following announcement on Apr. 27.

This event is organized in conjunction with the City of Creedmoor, the Creedmoor Police Department, Safe Routes to School and Granville Greenways.

Approximately 350 students from Creedmoor Elementary School will walk to school along with parents, teachers and community leaders.  The event will last one hour: 6:45 am – 7:45 am.  Students will arrive by bus or parent drop-off at the Creedmoor Community Center, 116 Douglas Drive (behind CVS).  They will then walk to school alongside their classmates, using the city sidewalks and illuminated crosswalks.  It is an energizing event, reminding everyone of the simple joy of walking, the health benefits of physical activity, and the impact walking can have on the environment.  Let’s keep our children safe and show our community that Walk to School Day can be fun for all!
