Town of Butner issued the following announcement on May 16.
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Granville County until 9:00 p.m. today (Monday, May 16).
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means that you should be prepared for the possibility of severe thunderstorms. Stay informed and be ready to seek shelter if a warning is issued.
