COUNTY OF GRANVILLE: Incinerator Disc Golf Course Hole Sponsorships

Discgolf

County of Granville issued the following announcement on June 9.

Granville County is offering the opportunity for hole sponsorships at the Incinerator disc golf course located at the Granville Athletic Park (GAP). This is a prime opportunity to advertise your business or organization to the thousands of local and regional disc golf enthusiasts that will play on the newly expanded Incinerator disc golf course each year. Funding from sponsorships will be used to maintain the course.

Sponsorships and hole preferences are available on a first-come/first-serve basis. $200 secures a maximum two-year sponsorship, which includes a sign on the sponsored hole featuring your company/organization’s name and logo. After the initial two years, continued sponsorship is dependent on the life cycle of each sign.

Online payment is available, and a sponsorship form must be submitted to county staff along with the $200 payment. For more information, please visit the Granville County website.

The GAP Phase III expansion, completed in 2021, allowed for the existing nine-hole Incinerator disc golf course to double in size to a full eighteen holes. Though the nine-hole Incinerator was already a strong draw for local and regional disc golf players, the completion of the remaining holes will increase the number of visitors to the Incinerator and the GAP. Conveniently located just off I-85 near Oxford, the GAP draws thousands of visitors from in and around Granville County to enjoy many forms of outdoor recreation including disc golf, paved walking trails, tournament-level baseball/softball/soccer fields, and the newly constructed tennis complex.
