CITY OF CREEDMOOR POLICE DEPARTMENT: Larceny of three (3) Stihl backpack blowers

City of Creedmoor Police Department issued the following announcement on Oct. 10.

The Creedmoor Police Department is investigating the larceny of several pieces of lawn maintenance equipment. On Friday, October 7, 2022, at approximately 9:00 am, officers responded to Creedmoor Elementary Parking lot (305 E Wilton Ave.) regarding the theft of three Stihl backpack blowers. The items were removed from an enclosed trailer of a lawn care service that was onsite.

Detectives have reviewed and secured video surveillance footage that shows the suspects driving a dark silver 2008 – 2009 Honda Accord, which displayed a faded temporary tag. The vehicle was last seen leaving on NC 56 East towards Wilton and Franklin County.  One suspect who was observed at the scene was described as a black male, in his late twenties, medium build, approximately 5’10’, with a medium complexion, small goatee, and wearing a red shirt and pants.

Anyone with information or knowledge of the below subjects is urged to call the Creedmoor Police Department at (919) 528-1515 or Granville County Crime Stoppers at (919) 693-3100. A reward of up to $2,000 is offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspects. Callers do not have to give their name or personal information.
