County of Granville issued the following announcement on June 20.
The Granville County Board of Elections will hold a special meeting on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Granville County Superior Courtroom, 101 Main Street, Oxford, North Carolina 27565 for a hearing on a candidate challenge filed by Chad McHenry and Michael W. Magnanti (the “Challengers”) challenging the candidacy of Christopher Wayne Smoot (“the Candidate”) for the office of Granville County Sheriff.
