City of Creedmoor Police Department issued the following announcement on July 13.
Join the Creedmoor Police Department for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2, from 6 – 9 p.m. at South Granville High School.
This FREE annual event is intended to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.
National Night Out includes fun activities like inflatables, face painting, an impaired-vision course, several emergency vehicles on display, a helicopter landing, and the Creedmoor Volunteer Fire Department will be on hand with water activities. Kids are encouraged to wear play clothes and bring a towel.
Friendly competitions will pair police officers with kids for games and the annual doughnut eating contest.
DON’T WORRY ABOUT COOKING! FREE hot dogs, popcorn, snocones, cotton candy and beverages are among concession stand offerings.
Volunteers are still needed for the event. If you or your community group would like to volunteer and support this family-friendly event, call Angie Perry, Event Coordinator, at (919) 764-1013 or email events@cityofcreedmoor.org.
