City of Oxford issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
Please be aware of a detour that will take place beginning August 22 at 8 am.
The detour is taking place to allow work crews to install a new sewer line and pave the road in the area.
Beginning at 8:00 AM, August 22, 2022, a detour will start on Lanier Street headed into town, where it intersects with Williamsboro Street.
From there traffic well be detoured to East McClanahan Street, towards College Street.
Traffic heading out of Downtown will be detoured onto Main Street, then onto East Spring Street.
